Business Bay, Dubai Marina had highest property deals in 2015

Business Bay topped the list of highest transactions in Dubai in 2015, while Dubai Marina topped the chart in the value terms, Al Bayan newspaper quoted figures from Dubai Land Department. 

Data showed that 2,131 deals worth Dh3.4 billion were done in Business Bay. The total value of transactions in Dubai Marina was Dh3.9 billion but total transactions were 1,986.

Sultan bin Mejren, Director-General of the DLD, told Al Bayan that a list of the most 10 active real estate areas in Dubai included freehold areas and regions where real estate is limited to citizens of the UAE and the rest of the GCC countries.

He pointed out that the total value of the deals (buying and selling apartments and villas) in these areas amounted to Dh17.7 billion. Total deals numbered 13,141.

Al Thanya Al Khamsa (Al Thanya Fifth) area came in third place with 1686 deals worth Dh2 billion.

Burj Khalifa area ranked eighth in terms of number of transactions and the third by value, with 893 deals worth Dh2.9 billion.  The list also included the Fourth Al Habya (Al Habya Al Raba’ah), Al Barsha South, Safa Valley, Al Thanya Al Thalatha (Third Al Thanya) and Maysam Al Oula (First Maysam) areas.
