The real estate sector in the UAE has been on a comeback since the start of the year, with Dubai seeing property values starting to rise in select areas. But demand since March has been recording strong monthly gains.

Dubai: Property brokers will be able to have full ownership of their companies in the UAE from now on, as this business activity has been removed from the ‘restricted list’. Given real estate sector’s dominant role in shaping the UAE’s economic and business activity, the decision is rated as one of the path-breaking ones, according to industry sources.

The real estate bulletin issued by Dubai Land Department (DLD) under the name ‘Real Estate Updates’ revealed that Dubai’s real estate market has maintained its appeal among local and international investors, despite the unexpected effects imposed by Covid-19.

Of the most prominent data cited in the bulletin to consolidate this fact was the entry of 10,728 new investors to the market, representing 70 per cent of the total number of investors throughout the first nine months of 2020.
